In 2006 native New Yorker Erica Whelan dared to do what every nine-to-fiver dreams of - she left her career as an Accountant to pursue her passion and become a celebrity make-up artist & hair stylist. Erica began assisting top industry veterans including Dick Page and Charlotte Willer and the rest, as they say, is history. Versatility being Erica’s strength as a make-up artist & hair stylist is clear by her list of editorial, advertising, commercial, video, and theatre clients. Erica’s creativity, easygoing personality and tireless work ethic make her a favorite among her clients, which include Cosmopolitan, Elle, Seventeen, L’Oreal, Sally Hansen and Rimmel London.
A fan of theatre, Erica regularly works with some of Broadway’s best and brightest. Erica was the make-up designer for the Tony Award-winning comedy “Boeing Boeing” staring Gina Gershon and Christine Baranski. Past theatre clients have included the casts of “Love, Loss & What I Wore” and Zach Braff’s play “All New People”.
Erica is a trusted beauty expert. Erica’s vast knowledge of products and techniques earned her a spot as an Allure.com Product Finder Expert. Erica’s beauty tips and tricks have been featured in national publications such as Shape, Self, OK!, Fitness, Health, Good Housekeeping, and Cosmopolitan.com. In 2013 Erica was appointed to the Cetaphil Care Council making her the first make-up artist on the Council. Erica is a firm believer that healthy skin is the foundation to achieving a great make-up look.
